About the SerialULA PCB

SerialULA is an open source PCB design by kgl2001, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 17.8 × 35.6 mm, with 18 components from 11 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the XC9572XL-10VQG44C, AMS1117-3.3 and XC6206P332MR. By type, the board carries 8 resistors, 7 capacitors and 3 ICs.

The source files are to be used with KiCAD v9.0.0 or later. The gerber files have been optimised for fabrication by JLCPCB. In particular, there is a 8mmx8mm silkscreen box on the rear of the PCB. This is to allow a 2D barcode, with unique serial number to be printed on the PCB. If you want the barcode to be added, then make sure to select this option in the 'Mark on PCB' field, and make sure to select 'Specify position' in the '2D Barcode Position' field, otherwise you will end up with a white 8mm x 8mm box printed on your PCB and a 8mm x 8mm barcode printed at a position of JLCPCBs…

SerialULA: common questions

How big is the SerialULA PCB?

The SerialULA measures 17.8 × 35.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SerialULA?

18 components, from 11 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SerialULA design files?

From the kgl2001/SerialULA repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SerialULA design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which kgl2001 chose for the repository.
