About the Wind75 PCB

Wind75 is an open source PCB design by Las-Vejas, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 326.4 × 116.8 mm, with 170 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the Nice_Nano_V2 and MCP23017_SP. By type, the board carries 84 switches, 84 diodes and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

A 75% keyboard.

This keyboard is composed of 68 switches, 1 Nice!nano2, a battery ill rip out from a power bank and a gpio pin expander.

I made this keyboard because ive been begging my mom to bring a keyboard back from her work and she keeps forgetting. And honestly id rather have a custom mechanical keyboard rather than a crusty office keyboard.

Wind75: common questions

How big is the Wind75 PCB?

The Wind75 measures 326.4 × 116.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Wind75?

170 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Wind75 design files?

From the Las-Vejas/Wind75 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Wind75 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Las-Vejas. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
