About the Keyther PCB
Keyther is an open source PCB design by MagoSaronno, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 149.7 × 89.6 mm, with 24 components from 4 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the YAAJ_WeAct_BlackPill_Part_Like. By type, the board carries 21 relays, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 resistor.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
Keyther derives from the Cantor Classic keyboard, replacing TRRS with RJ45 (Ethernet), adding hotswappable sockets and slightly increasing switches' horizontal spacing
Special thanks to both diepala and daprice for having paved the way for the creation of the Keyther Keyboard.
1. The TRRS socket is replaced with the more secure RJ45 (Ethernet) to avoid critical integrity issues caused by accidental disconnection or hot-plugging. Indeed, the Keyther Keyboard supports hot-plugging, as shown in this video:
2. The design introduces hot-swappable Kailh Choc sockets and handedness by pin (through the addition of a 10k resistor and an added line in the config.h file) You won't have to desolder all 42 switches to change them and you will be able to connect the…

Keyther: common questions
How big is the Keyther PCB?
The Keyther measures 149.7 × 89.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Keyther?
24 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Keyther design files?
From the MagoSaronno/keyther repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Keyther design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which MagoSaronno chose for the repository.
