SN754410NE (U2) - Motor driver, used to control the speed and direction of the two motors. Teensy 3.2 (U1)- Processor, will run code. IR Emitters (D0-D3) - Send an IR signal, which will bounce off walls, allowing for the reciever to read. Each is connected to a digital pin on the Teensy, allowing them to individual turn on and off. IR Reciever (Q0-Q3) - Reads how strong the IR signal is, depending on the value it reads it is able to detect if there is a wall, and how…

Micromouse kit: common questions
What microcontroller does the Micromouse kit use?
The Micromouse kit is built around the Teensy4.0, from the NXP family.
How big is the Micromouse kit PCB?
The Micromouse kit measures 84.9 × 94.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Micromouse kit?
61 components, from 28 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Micromouse kit design files?
From the micromouseuci/micromouse-kit repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Micromouse kit design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with micromouseuci. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Micromouse kit without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
