Disclamer: These are my own electronic designs. You can use them however you like, but i take no responsibilty for them. It's up to you to use them well.

Versions: 32Bit shift register - This is my first iterration, i had some problems with them due to high frequency signals and using wires instead of pcb traces resulting in reflections. I have changed the software/hardware interface, so these may work, but i haven't tested this.

32Bit shift register: common questions

What microcontroller does the 32Bit shift register use?

The 32Bit shift register is built around the C133793, from the NXP family.

How big is the 32Bit shift register PCB?

The 32Bit shift register measures 100 × 54 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the 32Bit shift register?

56 components, from 49 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the 32Bit shift register design files?

From the MaltWhiskey/Mega-Cube repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the 32Bit shift register design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MaltWhiskey. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the 32Bit shift register without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
