About the Fork adapter PCB
Fork adapter is an open source PCB design by MLeggiero, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 32 × 40 mm, with 6 components from 3 distinct parts.
From the project
An open reader board and embedded conditioning stack for flexible Velostat tactile matrices.
An open reader board and embedded conditioning stack for flexible Velostat tactile matrices.
TaxelScan reads a 16 × 32 pressure surface (512 taxels) at 80 frames per second by default and has been measured at 200 fps. A XIAO RP2350 turns the raw matrix into a cleaned pressure map and contact records—area, force proxy, peak, centroid, and bounds—before the data reaches the host.

Fork adapter: common questions
How big is the Fork adapter PCB?
The Fork adapter measures 32 × 40 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Fork adapter?
6 components, from 3 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Fork adapter design files?
From the MLeggiero/taxelscan repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Fork adapter design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which MLeggiero chose for the repository.
