About the Tem cell PCB
Tem cell is an open source PCB design by PetteriAimonen, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 49 mm, with 32 components from 15 distinct parts.
By type, the board carries 11 resistors, 6 diodes, 5 capacitors, 4 inductors, 3 connectors and 1 switch.
It belongs with the test & measurement designs in this gallery.

DIY TEM cell design for EMC measurements
This repository contains FreeCAD and KiCad design files for a TEM cell with integrated LISN.
When combined with a spectrum analyzer, it can be used for EMC pretest measurements.
More construction details are available in my blog article.
The TEM cell consists of three conductive layers: shield on the top and bottom, and septum in the middle. The width and spacing of the conductors determines the characteristic impedance of the transmission line. The default dimensions are designed for an impedance of 50 ohms, matching most measurement equipment.

Tem cell: common questions
How big is the Tem cell PCB?
The Tem cell measures 50 × 49 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Tem cell?
32 components, from 15 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Tem cell design files?
From the PetteriAimonen/tem-cell repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Tem cell design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-4.0 license, which PetteriAimonen chose for the repository.
