The project is based around the STUSB4710 Autonomous USB PD controller IC. The design functions as a power source with short-circuit protection and Vbus monitoring. The project is configured in a buck topology, meaning there is a constant 24 V DC voltage at the input of the circuit. Using the TPS56837HRPAR buck converter, the PD IC sets the output USB-C…

USB---C-Power-Delivery: common questions
What microcontroller does the USB---C-Power-Delivery use?
The USB---C-Power-Delivery is built around the STM32G030F6Px, from the STM32 family.
How big is the USB---C-Power-Delivery PCB?
The USB---C-Power-Delivery measures 67 × 34 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the USB---C-Power-Delivery?
51 components, from 35 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the USB---C-Power-Delivery design files?
From the RadoslavPantic/USB---C-Power-Delivery repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the USB---C-Power-Delivery design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with RadoslavPantic. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the USB---C-Power-Delivery without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
