About the MIDI-KEYBOARD PCB
MIDI-KEYBOARD is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Rathur421, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68.6 × 53.3 mm, with 52 components from 13 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Arduino_1pin, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 32 resistors and 11 connectors.
It belongs with the keyboards and audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
The documentation of the code is currently being made as well as the code improved.
The documentation of the code is currently being made as well as the code improved.
This project use the Arduino MIDI Library
:warning: the easiest way will always be to buy a midi-keyboard
Up to 88 Key(and more if needed) currently tested for 61 key without major issues.
This github repo is made to propose some (I hope) helpfull ressources to make a MIDI Keyboard wich take in charge the velocity using an arduino-uno and some multiplexer(74HC4051). This my first:

MIDI-KEYBOARD: common questions
What microcontroller does the MIDI-KEYBOARD use?
The MIDI-KEYBOARD is built around the Arduino_1pin, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the MIDI-KEYBOARD PCB?
The MIDI-KEYBOARD measures 68.6 × 53.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the MIDI-KEYBOARD?
52 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the MIDI-KEYBOARD design files?
From the Rathur421/MIDI-KEYBOARD repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the MIDI-KEYBOARD design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Rathur421. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the MIDI-KEYBOARD without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
