Split 42-key Kailh Choc V1 keyboard. Two Pro Micro (atmega32u4) halves over TRRS serial.

Original single-sided design. Worked well as a left half. No dedicated right PCB.

Intended to be a proper left + right pair. Due to a mirroring error in KiCad the "right" PCB was generated with all components on the wrong copper layers, making it effectively a second left. This version went into production — many copies exist.

Pcb: common questions

How big is the Pcb?

The Pcb measures 135.5 × 93.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pcb?

20 components, from 1 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pcb design files?

From the rek/keyboards repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pcb design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with rek. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
