About the Led Torch PCB

Led Torch is an open source PCB design by Reon-02, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 57.4 × 26.4 mm, with 4 components from 4 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 1 battery holder, 1 switch, 1 diode and 1 resistor.

From the project

This project is a compact LED torch PCB designed as part of the PCB Design with KiCad - Updated for KiCad 9 Udemy course.

This project is a compact LED torch PCB designed as part of the PCB Design with KiCad - Updated for KiCad 9 Udemy course.

The circuit uses a single battery cell to power an LED through a current-limiting resistor and an SPST switch.

This project was recreated in KiCad as part of my practical PCB design learning process.

Led Torch: common questions

How big is the Led Torch PCB?

The Led Torch measures 57.4 × 26.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Led Torch?

4 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Led Torch design files?

From the Reon-02/PCB-Design-with-KiCad-Udemy repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Led Torch design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Reon-02. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
