About the Stratum macropad PCB

Stratum macropad is an open source PCB design by ReuTheCoder, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 77 × 100 mm, with 30 components from 6 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the MOUDLE-SEEEDUINO-XIAO. By type, the board carries 9 relays, 9 LEDs, 9 diodes, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 switch.

It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

Personal macropad creation made for the Hack Club Stardance Challenge by following the "HackPad V5" mission.

- 5 Different Layers: Main, Productivity, Design, Scientific and Media. The keys and rotary encoder change functions on each mode - The OLED that displays current layer, settings menu and a transition animation - RGB Backlights change color on each layer - A sleep and brightness control in settings - Rotary encoder volume control

The 5 layers will likely be updated as I use the macropad and see what does and does not work. A future idea I have in mind is adding VIA support for quick macro functionality edits.

Stratum macropad: common questions

How big is the Stratum macropad PCB?

The Stratum macropad measures 77 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stratum macropad?

30 components, from 6 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stratum macropad design files?

From the ReuTheCoder/stratum-macropad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stratum macropad design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ReuTheCoder. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
