About the DS2 Addon PCB
DS2 Addon is an open source PCB design by RileyMcCarthy, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 47 × 25.4 mm, with 17 components from 5 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the ADS122U04. By type, the board carries 12 capacitors, 4 resistors and 1 IC.
From the project
Tensile testing machine
The DS2 Addon is a piggyback board for the DS2 force gauge. It conditions the strain-gauge signal and presents an analog voltage that the firmware reads through the ADS122U04 ADC, giving the machine its force measurement.
- Interfaces the DS2 force gauge's strain-gauge bridge to the EdgeBoard. - Feeds the analog force signal to the ADS122U04 ADC (driven by IOADS122U04` in the firmware). - Provides the force-path measurement used for live readouts, limit enforcement, and stress calculation.
