About the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design PCB

STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design is an open source STM32 PCB design by riyassadiq11, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 49 × 24 mm, with 40 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32WB55CEU6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the MIC5365-3.3YD5 and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 19 capacitors, 7 resistors, 3 ICs, 3 connectors, 3 inductors and 2 crystals.

It belongs with the rf & radio, iot & wireless and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

4‑layer PCB (49 × 24 mm, 1.6 mm) using STM32WB55CEU6 for Bluetooth. Features USB‑C with ESD protection, RF + U.FL antenna, SWD debug header, and SMPS power. Includes impedance‑controlled routing, custom footprint (DLF162500LT‑5028A1), 3D STEP models, and validated with ERC/DRC checks.

Working: STM32WB55 uses an internal buck converter. VLXSMPS pin drives the inductor, SMPSFB senses feedback, and VFBSMPS stabilizes output. This lowers current draw and heat, especially important for battery‑powered designs.

Working: MCU generates Bluetooth RF signal → passes through matching network → filtered → sent to antenna. Impedance control (50 Ω single‑ended) ensures maximum power transfer and minimal reflection.

STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design: common questions

What microcontroller does the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design use?

The STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design is built around the STM32WB55CEU6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design PCB?

The STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design measures 49 × 24 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.58 mm thick.

How many components are on the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design?

40 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design design files?

From the riyassadiq11/STM32_Bluetooth_Hardware_Design_PCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which riyassadiq11 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the STM32 Bluetooth Hardware Design without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
