Until recently I used tweezers when populating surface mount parts on a PCB. Browsing around on YouTube late one night I stumbled upon a video by SDG Electronics about making a Manual Pick and Place SMD Vacuum. There is also a part 2 for those interested. I was then motivated to make up my own since it looked so much easier then using tweezers. There was no parts list from SDG Electronics that I could find so I set about searching for suitable components and designing my own simple controller PCB.…
