About the Smart Door Sensor PCB

Smart Door Sensor is an open source PCB design by SeanP2001, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 64.8 × 57.2 mm, with 11 components from 8 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the Wemos_Lolin32_Lite and Door_Sensor. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 2 ICs, 2 switches, 1 buzzer and 1 diode.

It belongs with the iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

A sensor which sends an email notification whenever somebody opens a door.

This originally started as a university project, and I have continued to develop this idea in my spare time.

This project is a smart door alarm for security in university accommodation and hotel rooms. When somebody enters the room, the buzzer will sound, or the device will email the user. This standalone device does not require a smart hub to operate.

1. Plug the device into a phone charger and switch the charger on.
