Hardware for KNX devices

This module is a well tested interface to get your Dual Q smoke detectors connected to your KNX bus.

The unversioned Rauchmelder.sch and Rauchmelder.brd files are the development files. Once a new version is released, a corresponding copy of the files with the release version appended to the file name are provided.

Rauchmelder 3.6: common questions

What microcontroller does the Rauchmelder 3.6 use?

The Rauchmelder 3.6 is built around the LPC1115, from the NXP family.

How big is the Rauchmelder 3.6 PCB?

The Rauchmelder 3.6 measures 38 × 65 mm and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Rauchmelder 3.6?

59 components, from 44 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Rauchmelder 3.6 design files?

From the selfbus/hardware-merged repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Rauchmelder 3.6 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with selfbus. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Rauchmelder 3.6 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
