Firmware for STM32 MCU of testbed data acquisition and control system

This repository contains embedded software and the PCBs for the experimental testbed.

The main function of the testbed: * Imitate heat exchange, thermoelectric and electric proceses in the wearable thermoelectric generator.

Testbed's subsystems enable: Low speed (>= 5 Hz) temperature measurements with an accuracy better than 0.15°K; Temperature difference stabilization (temperature swing = 1 mv) in a range of approximately 0 - 100 mV; * Real time data visialization.

Control board Rev 1: common questions

What microcontroller does the Control board Rev 1 use?

The Control board Rev 1 is built around the STM32F4_Discovery_Header, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Control board Rev 1?

The Control board Rev 1 measures 155 × 140 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Control board Rev 1?

85 components, from 25 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Control board Rev 1 design files?

From the Sergio5714/experimental-teg-testbed-firmware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Control board Rev 1 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Sergio5714. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Control board Rev 1 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
