Black Magic Railgun Clone ========================================

Railgun is a version of the Black Magic Mini board. Unlike other Black Magic boards it contains a USB-A connector instead of a type C one.

It is an easy-to-use board used for debugging embedded microcontrollers. It supports several targets from manufacturers such as STMicroelectronics, Atmel, Nordic Semiconductor, NXP, Texas Instruments, Freescale, Silicon Labs, Xilinx or Raspberry Pi.

Blackmagic railgun clone: common questions

What microcontroller does the Blackmagic railgun clone use?

The Blackmagic railgun clone is built around the STM32F103CU, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Blackmagic railgun clone PCB?

The Blackmagic railgun clone measures 47.8 × 19.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Blackmagic railgun clone?

60 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Blackmagic railgun clone design files?

From the sergiomd4/blackmagic-railgun-clone repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Blackmagic railgun clone design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC0-1.0 license, which sergiomd4 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Blackmagic railgun clone without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
