About the Motherboards PCB

Motherboards is an open source PCB design by wafer-space, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 16.5 × 90.2 mm, with 6 components from 3 distinct parts.

From the project

Wire bonded chip on board PCB designs.

We've designed several example breakout and motherboard PCBs to simplify development and integration with your custom chips.

We have also developed a set of KiCad symbols to support design and integration with our COB layouts. These symbols are included in the Motherboards examples and can be used as a reference for your own designs.

Motherboards: common questions

How big is the Motherboards PCB?

The Motherboards measures 16.5 × 90.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Motherboards?

6 components, from 3 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Motherboards design files?

From the wafer-space/chip-on-board-wire-bonded-pcbs repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Motherboards design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which wafer-space chose for the repository.
