Open Source Area Timer for combat robotics

An open-source, ESP32-based event and match timer platform featuring wireless remote integration, with web interface.

Note: The local AP interface is identical to the network interface. If no external Wi-Fi network is available at your venue, you can run the timer in this standalone mode completely offline.

4. Station Mode (Optional): To connect the timer to an existing venue Wi-Fi network, use the configuration section at the bottom of the webpage to save your local SSID and Password.

TimerRemote: common questions

What microcontroller does the TimerRemote use?

The TimerRemote is built around the STM32G030K6TX, from the STM32 family.

How big is the TimerRemote PCB?

The TimerRemote measures 53.5 × 92 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the TimerRemote?

29 components, from 23 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TimerRemote design files?

From the WannaBAcoder/ArenaTimer repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TimerRemote design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with WannaBAcoder. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the TimerRemote without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
