A little cool XMAS project

ISSUE - Design Seems To produce non-working unit. Investigating...

Something for the holidays. Made using SMT/SMD components so most/all parts on one side. Added header pins on revrse side for adding batteries or different UART(s). Added USB-A PCB top to allow plugging into a laptop or computer USB port or to power with a USB-A extension cable.

This is a project I'm also submitting to the JLCPCB.com Holiday Contest!

WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT: common questions

What microcontroller does the WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT use?

The WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT is built around the STM32F030F4P6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT PCB?

The WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT measures 44.4 × 58.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT?

69 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT design files?

From the WingTechCorner/WTC_PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with WingTechCorner. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the WTC PROJECT-XMAS-USB-ORNAMENT without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
