wolfSSL examples for STM32

The wolfDemo project is an example board intended to be used for demonstrations of wolfSSL software projects on wolfSSL branded hardware.

It is intended to be easy to pick up and use, with a USB UART chip to program the board and get logging information. It also has two open standard mikroBus sockets to expand with thousands of different peripherals.

WolfSTM32-Demo: common questions

What microcontroller does the WolfSTM32-Demo use?

The WolfSTM32-Demo is built around the STM32U585CITx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the WolfSTM32-Demo PCB?

The WolfSTM32-Demo measures 111.1 × 135.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the WolfSTM32-Demo?

65 components, from 31 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the WolfSTM32-Demo design files?

From the wolfSSL/wolfssl-examples-stm32 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the WolfSTM32-Demo design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which wolfSSL chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the WolfSTM32-Demo without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
