About the Tech diya PCB

Tech diya is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ankurlearner1, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 61 × 61 mm, with 9 components from 7 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATtiny85V-10P, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 4 resistors, 1 IC, 1 battery holder, 1 microphone, 1 switch and 1 diode.

From the project

My first custom PCB design for Tech-Diya using KiCad 9.0

This repository contains my first-ever PCB design, created using KiCad 🎉. It was a fun and foundational experience exploring the world of PCB design — from schematics to layout. While this board is functionally complete and includes all the necessary files, it is not yet fully optimized in terms of routing, layout, and component choice.

Thanks for checking out my journey into the world of hardware! 🚀

Tech diya: common questions

What microcontroller does the Tech diya use?

The Tech diya is built around the ATtiny85V-10P, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Tech diya PCB?

The Tech diya measures 61 × 61 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Tech diya?

9 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Tech diya design files?

From the ankurlearner1/tech-diya repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Tech diya design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ankurlearner1 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Tech diya without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
