About the ScreenHat PCB

ScreenHat is an open source PCB design by antek-elektronik, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 157 × 63.5 mm, with 49 components from 15 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the PCF8574AT and LCD_20x4. By type, the board carries 18 resistors, 7 switches, 7 capacitors, 6 jumpers, 4 connectors and 3 ICs.

From the project

Work in progress!

This is 'industriual' adaptation for raspberry pi pico 2W. This is a hobby project developed by me (AntekElektronik) with no plans for building it (yet).

This device features a 8 optotransistor 24V inputs, 4 10A 230V relay outputs and 4 transistor outputs latching to ground. The device is powered by 24V external power supply and has 24V -> 5V switching power regulator onboard (the rpi pico 2w takes care of regulating 3.3V).

ScreenHat: common questions

How big is the ScreenHat PCB?

The ScreenHat measures 157 × 63.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ScreenHat?

49 components, from 15 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ScreenHat design files?

From the antek-elektronik/PicoPLC repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ScreenHat design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with antek-elektronik. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
