About the 555-chaser led flower PCB

555-chaser led flower is an open source PCB design by anya39, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 93.2 × 93.9 mm, with 19 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the NE555P and 4017. By type, the board carries 10 diodes, 2 ICs, 2 connectors, 2 capacitors and 2 resistors.

From the project

my first PCB project for hackclub stasis

I used Kicad to create a schematic and route the PCB. I made a flower-shaped 555 LED Chaser board by following the Hack Club Stasis guide and adding my own customizations.

When powered with a 5V supply, the NE555 timer operates in astable mode, generating a continuous clock signal. The speed of the clock is controlled by turning the potentiometer (RV1), which changes the speed of the chasing light effect. The CD4017 counter sequences through the 10 outputs (LEDs) to light one LED at a time.
