Raw data files for hardware PCB's

With the astroplant-kit you need 2 jumper : connect 3.3V with the onboard generator connect 5V to the Board 5V input,

The BOM is available in the main folder, as it is not part of the manufacturing files.

First you'll need Kicad 7.0: https://www.kicad.org/download/ Then open the project by executing the .kicadpro file, you will then be able to see the different elements of the project such as the schematic and the pcb, If you want the gerber or drill map, open the pcb editor (.kicadpcb) and go "File -> Fabrication output ->Gerbers/Drill/Component Placement/BOM". For each file, select the…

Astroplant AL: common questions

What microcontroller does the Astroplant AL use?

The Astroplant AL is built around the STM32WB55RGV6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Astroplant AL PCB?

The Astroplant AL measures 100 × 65 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Astroplant AL?

100 components, from 37 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Astroplant AL design files?

From the AstroPlant/astroplant-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Astroplant AL design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with AstroPlant. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Astroplant AL without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
