About the USB-HUB PCB

USB-HUB is an open source PCB design by avadsariya0-coder, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 34.5 × 40.5 mm, with 30 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SL2.1A. By type, the board carries 11 capacitors, 11 resistors, 5 connectors, 2 diodes and 1 IC.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

From the project

USB HUB is a custom designed USB HUB and is built using the SL2.1A USB HUB controller and USB-C Connectors based on USB-2. The project is made using KICAD for schematic and PCB and Fusion 360 for the 3D designing.

USB HUB is a custom designed USB HUB and is built using the SL2.1A USB HUB controller and USB-C Connectors based on USB-2. The project is made using KICAD for schematic and PCB and Fusion 360 for the 3D designing.

Unlike the another readymade hubs this USB HUB is made from the scratch from designing schematic to the PCB routing to the 3D designing.

This HUB allows 1 USB-C connection to expand into 4 USB-C port. It is useful for connecting multiple devices to 1 device.

USB-HUB: common questions

How big is the USB-HUB PCB?

The USB-HUB measures 34.5 × 40.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the USB-HUB?

30 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the USB-HUB design files?

From the avadsariya0-coder/USB-HUB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the USB-HUB design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which avadsariya0-coder chose for the repository.
