About the OSMP PCB
OSMP is an open source PIC PCB design by bamboo-dynamics, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 42 × 42 mm, with 31 components from 13 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the PIC16F18325-XJQ, from the PIC family. Other key parts include the E0USDRV5011ADDB00, E0USLM1117500M300 and E0USAZRS308000000. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 8 resistors, 6 ICs and 5 diodes.
From the project
Open Smart Motor Platform
OSMP (Open Smart Motor Platform) is an open-source hardware and firmware ecosystem specifically optimized for Warehouse Conveyor Systems and automated material handling.
The platform provides a high-precision Hall-sensor interface and integrated memory storage, designed to be embedded within brushless motors used in conveyor rollers, sorters, and AGV/AMR peripheral modules.

OSMP: common questions
What microcontroller does the OSMP use?
The OSMP is built around the PIC16F18325-XJQ, from the PIC family.
How big is the OSMP PCB?
The OSMP measures 42 × 42 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1 mm thick.
How many components are on the OSMP?
31 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the OSMP design files?
From the bamboo-dynamics/OSMP repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the OSMP design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which bamboo-dynamics chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the OSMP without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug PIC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
