About the Stackboard PCB

Stackboard is an open source PCB design by bradshjg, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 161.9 × 91.4 mm, with 77 components from 32 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HC137, SN74CBTLV3125 and ULN2002. By type, the board carries 24 resistors, 11 test points, 9 connectors, 8 ICs, 8 LEDs and 2 transistors.

From the project

Unsynced mirror of https://sourceforge.net/projects/tom7misc/ (I think that's called a backup)...but it's git now :-)

This is code (experimental, obviously) for several weird block devices ("hard drives"). See the video and paper at tom7.org/harder for an introduction.

Note this whole thing is super insecure, for many reasons! Don't run it on a system you care about!

- unix domain socket has the wrong permissions

Compiling is something like this (from memory): - Get nbdkit (source) and compile it (in ../../nbdkit). - Install nbd-client too

Stackboard: common questions

How big is the Stackboard PCB?

The Stackboard measures 161.9 × 91.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stackboard?

77 components, from 32 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stackboard design files?

From the bradshjg/tom7-misc-backup repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stackboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with bradshjg. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
