About the Breezy PCB

Breezy is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Broosky, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 23 components from 18 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino Nano V3, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 4 connectors, 4 diodes, 2 switches, 2 capacitors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the sensors and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

A temperature-triggered fan controller designed to improve airflow.

A temperature-triggered fan controller that automatically powers one or more box fans when the AC system is running. Designed to improve airflow through long corridors or distant rooms without requiring manual intervention.

Breezy supports multiple configurable automatic modes, along with a manual override that forces the fans on and bypasses automatic control. The goal is a "set it once and forget it" solution. The output stage supports loads up to 600W, allowing multiple fans or other devices to be controlled simultaneously.

Breezy: common questions

What microcontroller does the Breezy use?

The Breezy is built around the Arduino Nano V3, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How many components are on the Breezy?

23 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Breezy design files?

From the Broosky/Breezy repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Breezy design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Broosky. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Breezy without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
