About the Non motion-MCU PCB

Non motion-MCU is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Bunny350, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 70 mm, with 20 components from 15 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Pico 1-20, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 11 connectors, 6 resistors, 2 diodes and 1 jumper.

From the project

Non-Motion MCU for Raspberry Pi Pico & Pico 2 with Klipper firmware.

The prefboard in question has a connector made specifically for V0 Simple Display, the input shaper port and four IO ports with ground right next to one of them.

Non-motion MCU has nine ports, including: an input shaper accelerometer port, LED ports (3.3V signal logic), an external power (to MOSFET) port (3.3V signal logic), two thermometer ports, a dedicated SPI port, miscellaneous port, * a port made specifically for revision 2 of hart.k's Voron 0 Simple Display.

Non motion-MCU: common questions

What microcontroller does the Non motion-MCU use?

The Non motion-MCU is built around the Pico 1-20, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Non motion-MCU PCB?

The Non motion-MCU measures 50 × 70 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Non motion-MCU?

20 components, from 15 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Non motion-MCU design files?

From the Bunny350/Non-motion-MCU repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Non motion-MCU design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which Bunny350 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Non motion-MCU without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
