About the Rf bridge PCB

Rf bridge is an open source PCB design by buserror, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 25.4 × 45.7 mm, with 16 components from 12 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SA630. By type, the board carries 8 capacitors, 5 connectors, 2 resistors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the rf & radio and iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

RF (433Mhz) to MQTT Bridge - with hardware

Version 1.x of the hardware uses very little hardware. You need:

An Arduino with ~1.5KB SRAM and bout 6KB flash, and runs at least at 16Mhz. A cheap 433Mhz receiver module * A cheap 433Mhz transmitter module

The pcb also has a RF switch to be able to share the antenna. The prototype didn't have that and used 2 17cm pieces of wire, and it worked just fine, so it's not stricly needed. The hardware here is made to be a neater small package with pigtail connector to a 'proper' antenna.

Rf bridge: common questions

How big is the Rf bridge PCB?

The Rf bridge measures 25.4 × 45.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Rf bridge?

16 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Rf bridge design files?

From the buserror/rf_bridge repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Rf bridge design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with buserror. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
