It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Proof of concept fault tolerant SCP with a BMS Application.

Fail-safe in a 2-out-of-2 configuration. BMS is implemented in split parts. Both halves have to error free for the battery/BMS to operate nominally. If an error is detected the whole system stops and the electronics disconnects the battery cells from the rest of the system, protecting the cells from leaving their safe operating area in the presence of BMS error.

Poc scp ft-4s bms app: common questions

What microcontroller does the Poc scp ft-4s bms app use?

The Poc scp ft-4s bms app is built around the STM32F072C_8-B_Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Poc scp ft-4s bms app PCB?

The Poc scp ft-4s bms app measures 85 × 45 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Poc scp ft-4s bms app?

74 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Poc scp ft-4s bms app design files?

From the cajt/poc-scp-ft-4s-bms-app repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Poc scp ft-4s bms app design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-2-Clause license, which cajt chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Poc scp ft-4s bms app without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
