About the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge PCB
Arduino-MidiDmxBridge is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by chrisneukam, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65 × 47 mm, with 29 components from 16 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Arduino_Pro_Mini_Socket_NoSPH, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MAX485E. By type, the board carries 9 resistors, 6 connectors, 6 capacitors, 3 diodes, 1 IC and 1 module.
It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
MIDI to DMX protocol translator for lighting systems based on Arduino
The MIDI-DMX Bridge is an Arduino-based hardware and software solution that converts MIDI Continuous Controller signals to DMX commands. The project consists of a hardware schematic and PCB designed using KiCad, an Arduino sketch, and an Arduino library. It can be used to control DMX fixtures such as lights, fog machines, and more.
The MIDI-DMX Bridge Arduino project is designed to seamlessly integrate with the lighting fixtures Stairville CLB4 RGB Compact LED Bar 4 and two Stairville LED Flood Panel 150. Here's how the bridge supports these fixtures:

Arduino-MidiDmxBridge: common questions
What microcontroller does the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge use?
The Arduino-MidiDmxBridge is built around the Arduino_Pro_Mini_Socket_NoSPH, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge PCB?
The Arduino-MidiDmxBridge measures 65 × 47 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge?
29 components, from 16 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge design files?
From the chrisneukam/arduino-MidiDmxBridge repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which chrisneukam chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Arduino-MidiDmxBridge without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
