Hardware design files for a STM32F103 development board

This repo contains the KiCad hardware design files for a development board for the STM32F103 MCU, which is somewhat similar to the well known blue pill board. The design(er) has greatly benefitted from some of Phil Salmony's designs .

- STM32F103 MCU - 2x I2C (pull up resistors included) - SPI (22R series termination resistor included) - USB micro - UART - 21 GPIOs - 16MHz crystal - ESD protection - SWD via legged 6-pin plug-of-nails tag-connect connector - BOOT0 pin toggle switch - NRST pin push button - Power LED - LDO voltage regulator

STM32F103 dev board: common questions

What microcontroller does the STM32F103 dev board use?

The STM32F103 dev board is built around the STM32F103C8T6TR, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STM32F103 dev board?

The STM32F103 dev board measures 50 × 57 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.652 mm thick.

How many components are on the STM32F103 dev board?

32 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STM32F103 dev board design files?

From the christophmeyer/STM32F103_dev_board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STM32F103 dev board design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which christophmeyer chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the STM32F103 dev board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
