A 20-Channel Do-It-Yourself Scanning Card for Keithley DMMs and DAQs
This is a do-it-yourself 20-channel solid-state scanner card compatible with Keithley 2000-SCAN-20 and thus should work with Keithley 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010 and DMM6500 bench multimeters. Currently this design is tested only on DMM6500.
The original Keithley SCAN-2000 card has a very basic design: few serial-to-parallel shift registers and bunch of bi-stable (latching) mechanical relays. The control signal from the DMM has 3 lines: clock, data and strobe. The card's manual has the full schematic; by looking at the schematic you can determine which bit does what. After realizing that the…

CozScan2020: common questions
What microcontroller does the CozScan2020 use?
The CozScan2020 is built around the Arduino_Micro, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the CozScan2020 PCB?
The CozScan2020 measures 201.9 × 68.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the CozScan2020?
77 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the CozScan2020 design files?
From the cozdas/CozScan2020 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the CozScan2020 design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which cozdas chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the CozScan2020 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
