About the ControlModule PCB
ControlModule is an open source PCB design by crempp, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 125 × 50 mm, with 25 components from 9 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the 74LS14. By type, the board carries 8 resistors, 5 switches, 5 capacitors, 4 diodes, 1 IC and 1 connector.
From the project
16bit CPU made from TTL Logic Chips
This is a 16bit pipelined CPU designed on a breadboard and produced in modular component boards.
My objective in this project is to learn electronics, CPU design and build a fully functional CPU that can be updated, added to and further developed easily.
The CPU is designed around four general purpose 16 bit registers four 16 bit address registers ALU supporting addition, subtraction, shift and bitwise operations piplined instructions * banked memory with a base of 64k, expandable to about 1.5 megabytes (max TBD)
