About the Hw ic key PCB
Hw ic key is an open source PCB design by dataxcash, published on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0 license. It is a board, with 42 components from 24 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the SE050C2, EMMC_16G, FUSB302, DCDC_12V_3V3 and LDO_5V_3V3. By type, the board carries 15 capacitors, 12 resistors, 8 ICs, 2 crystals, 2 connectors and 2 diodes.
From the project
KEY Secure Key Vault — B1 security module holding the hardware root of trust. SE050 secure element with eMMC/LPDDR4 storage, gating pre-authentication handshake to K1 over USB Type-C before data path enables.
Open-source hardware — KiCad design files for the KEY module, the secure key vault that gates the IOCONVERT V2.0 conversion card family. It carries the hardware root of trust and issues the pre-authentication handshake before any data path is enabled.
KEY is a B1 security module that connects to the K1 master gate card over USB Type-C. It holds the hardware vault, flash storage, and the SE050 secure element that performs mutual authentication with the gatekeeper MCU. Only after successful pre-authentication is the PCIe data path allowed to start.
