Resources related to the Tseng Labs ET2000 EGA chipset
Unique to the Tseng Labs EVA/480 and NEC GB-1 cards, the CMII module contained a Z80 CPU that translated accesses to the CGA register file into EGA equivalents for improved compatibility.
The main ROM BIOS contains the Z80 code, starting at 0x6000.
Support for the CMII module is baked in to the ET2000 CRTC controller chip, which has lines to reset and activate the CMII board.
