About the LEDIO PCB

LEDIO is an open source PCB design by Defdist, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 272.5 × 12 mm, with 19 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TCS40DPR. By type, the board carries 7 diodes, 5 connectors, 4 resistors, 2 capacitors and 1 IC.

It belongs with the robotics & motion, displays & leds and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

Uno Shield for grblDD: closed loop spindle VFD + 4 stepper drivers

Main Controller PCB for GG3. Hardware version 3B This is the 1st PCB shipped in GG3.

Changes (from the previous prototype PCB):

-3-pin header order changed from VGS to VSG (e.g. from +-X to +X-). This creates an incompatibility issue with GG2 units, which will require a pin swap.

-Removed Door Switch (which also restored previous gap for zip tie).

-Vref changed to 1.78 volts (added 1k series with pulldown).

LEDIO: common questions

How big is the LEDIO PCB?

The LEDIO measures 272.5 × 12 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the LEDIO?

19 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the LEDIO design files?

From the Defdist/GrBLDC3 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the LEDIO design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Defdist. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
