About the Elevator-Controller PCB

Elevator-Controller is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Delibot-Lab, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70 × 70 mm, with 21 components from 15 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the NRF24L01_Breakout. By type, the board carries 6 capacitors, 4 diodes, 4 resistors, 3 modules, 1 IC and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the robotics & motion and rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

PCB to controller elevator using 2 servo & radio transmission!

A KiCad PCB that drives a small elevator model using two servo motors, controlled wirelessly over an NRF24L01 radio link.

The board is built around an Arduino Nano that:

- Receives commands over an NRF24L01 2.4GHz radio module - Drives two servos (M1, M2) for elevator car/door motion - Drives a buzzer for audible feedback - Reports status via three LEDs (Power, Debug, Error)

Elevator-Controller: common questions

What microcontroller does the Elevator-Controller use?

The Elevator-Controller is built around the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Elevator-Controller PCB?

The Elevator-Controller measures 70 × 70 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Elevator-Controller?

21 components, from 15 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Elevator-Controller design files?

From the Delibot-Lab/Elevator-Controller-PCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Elevator-Controller design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which Delibot-Lab chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Elevator-Controller without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
