PCB and Code (Teensy 4) for the Hamamatsu S11639-01 Linear CCD with 16 bit ADC and SPI interface

Original repository github.com/drmcnelson/S11639-01-Linear-CCD-PCB-and-Code

This repo provides electronics, firmware and host software for the Hamamatsu S11639-01, a linear CCD sensor that has high sensitivity at 1300V/lx s and low dark noise at 0.2mV (for a 10msec exposure). With saturation at 2V, the dynamic range is 10,000. The electrical design is implemented as a two board set, sensor and controller, for mechanical stability and interchangeability. The sensor board has the socketed sensor, logic gates to drive the pins, and a low noise all differential analog section with a high…

S11639-01 TeensyCarrier: common questions

What microcontroller does the S11639-01 TeensyCarrier use?

The S11639-01 TeensyCarrier is built around the Teensy4.0, from the NXP family.

How big is the S11639-01 TeensyCarrier PCB?

The S11639-01 TeensyCarrier measures 70 × 50 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 4.69 mm thick.

How many components are on the S11639-01 TeensyCarrier?

38 components, from 9 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the S11639-01 TeensyCarrier design files?

From the drmcnelson/S11639-01-Linear-CCD-PCB-and-Code repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the S11639-01 TeensyCarrier design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the S11639-01 TeensyCarrier without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
