About the Vitamins included PCB

Vitamins included is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Duckle29, published on GitHub under the BSD-3-Clause license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 114.3 × 82 mm, with 150 components from 19 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATMega32U4, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 50 switches, 44 diodes, 26 resistors, 20 capacitors, 6 connectors and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

This repo holds a variation of the lets split. This board requires no soldering

This repository contains all files necesarry to make the Let's split keyboard variant "Vitamins included"

Files are not guarranteed to be in sync outside of tagged releases. They aren't on releases either, but they should be ;)

The kit for these PCBs are sold at Novelkeys, the firmware for the keyboard is QMK

To edit these, you need kicad 5 or later. Missing footprints can be found here, on seperate branches, but should be included in KiCAD libraries eventually. You can check for open pull-requests by me on the upstream repo to see the status…

Vitamins included: common questions

What microcontroller does the Vitamins included use?

The Vitamins included is built around the ATMega32U4, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Vitamins included PCB?

The Vitamins included measures 114.3 × 82 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Vitamins included?

150 components, from 19 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Vitamins included design files?

From the Duckle29/Vitamins-included repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Vitamins included design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its BSD-3-Clause license, which Duckle29 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Vitamins included without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
