About the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip PCB

Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by esyywar, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 60 × 80 mm, with 24 components from 18 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 8 resistors, 4 diodes, 4 capacitors, 3 connectors, 1 module and 1 switch.

It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

LED light strip with tune-able colour display, music visualization and patterned light show modes.

This project features the hardware and software development of a multi-function LED strip controller!

The light strip has 3 different modes: 1. HSV Static Colour Set 2. Patterned Light Show 3. Music Wave Visualizer

User can switch between the 3 modes by pushing a button. In each mode, parameters can be adjusted by turning the 3 potentiometer knobs.

Here are the functions of each knob in each mode:

Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip: common questions

What microcontroller does the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip use?

The Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip is built around the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip PCB?

The Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip measures 60 × 80 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip?

24 components, from 18 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip design files?

From the esyywar/Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with esyywar. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Arduino-Interactive-LED-Strip without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
