About the Mood-Credit-Card PCB

Mood-Credit-Card is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Fleming-Society, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65 × 38 mm, with 13 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the esp32_super_mini, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 5 diodes, 5 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 connector.

kicad/ contains the completed KiCad exemplar, custom symbols and custom footprints. kicad/learner/ contains the recovered 2024 learner starter project with its board, schematic and project file.

The board files use ${KIPRJMOD}-relative references. The supplied component STEP models are withheld from the public tree until their redistribution rights are confirmed; see kicad/3dmodels/README.md`.

Mood-Credit-Card: common questions

What microcontroller does the Mood-Credit-Card use?

The Mood-Credit-Card is built around the esp32_super_mini, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Mood-Credit-Card PCB?

The Mood-Credit-Card measures 65 × 38 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mood-Credit-Card?

13 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mood-Credit-Card design files?

From the Fleming-Society/Mood-Credit-Card repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mood-Credit-Card design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Fleming-Society chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Mood-Credit-Card without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
