About the So8 PCB

So8 is an open source PCB design by florolf, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 11 × 8 mm, with 3 components from 3 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the XC6206P332MR. By type, the board carries 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 capacitor.

USB-C-to-SPI-flash adapter with level shifting, stm32-vserprog compatible

This repository contains an USB-C-to-SPI-flash adapter that is compatible with stm32-vserprog and also has integrated level-shifters towards the SPI flash. This was created mainly to try out the JLCPCB assembly service and because there is no convenient way to program 1.8V flash chips with the "Bluepill + mess of wires" setup I was using before. The pinout is arranged such that it matches the common flash test clips.

So8: common questions

How big is the So8 PCB?

The So8 measures 11 × 8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the So8?

3 components, from 3 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the So8 design files?

From the florolf/spi-flasher repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the So8 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which florolf chose for the repository.
