About the Nmos sim PCB
Nmos sim is an open source PCB design by fredrequin, published on GitHub under the BSD-2-Clause license. It is a board, with 392 components from 20 distinct parts.
By type, the board carries 243 transistors and 30 resistors.
It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.
From the project
Simulate old NMOS logic using Kicad and Verilator
NMOS_SIM - Simulation of old NMOS chip using KiCad and Verilator ================================================================
NMOS_SIM is an attempt to run gate-level simulation of old NMOS chips by using KiCad 6.0 and Verilator
- The main focus is on Commodore/Amiga NMOS chips - Uses KiCad 6.0 as a schematics capture tool - Uses a special KiCad library that contains all the NMOS primitives - Uses a custom "k2v" tool (KiCad to Verilog) to convert the KiCad netlist into a Verilog file - Uses Verilator to run the gate-level simulation - Uses the verilator_helpers repository

Nmos sim: common questions
How many components are on the Nmos sim?
392 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Nmos sim design files?
From the fredrequin/nmos_sim repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Nmos sim design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its BSD-2-Clause license, which fredrequin chose for the repository.
