About the STM32 Sensor PCB

STM32 Sensor is an open source STM32 PCB design by freynder, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 35.6 × 20.3 mm, with 26 components from 20 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the RFM69CW, RFM69HW and RFM69HCW. By type, the board carries 9 capacitors, 5 connectors, 4 ICs, 4 resistors, 2 crystals and 2 switches.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Tiny STM32 board with RFM69 support

A Small STM32F103C8T6 board with all functional pins exposed. Similar to the BluePill board except:

- no regulator. Will be powered by 2 AA batteries. - no USB - No LED - No BOOT0/BOOT1 jumper pins. BOOT0 can be pulled high by a button, BOOT1 is pulled low permanently but exposed by a PIN. - smaller crystals - RFM69CW + RFM69(H)W + RFM69HCW footprints + u.FL connector - VBAT can be disconnected from VCC by cutting the solder jumper on the back.

STM32 Sensor: common questions

What microcontroller does the STM32 Sensor use?

The STM32 Sensor is built around the STM32F103C8Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the STM32 Sensor PCB?

The STM32 Sensor measures 35.6 × 20.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the STM32 Sensor?

26 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the STM32 Sensor design files?

From the freynder/STM32_Sensor repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the STM32 Sensor design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with freynder. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the STM32 Sensor without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
