KiCad Like a Pro, 5th Edition, Volume 2: finished KiCad projects and saved stages (custom parts, LED matrix, DRV8833 motor drivers)
The KiCad project for Volume 2, Chapter 9. Scaffolded 2026-08-27. The root project is a copy of the finished Chapter 8 project, taken from ../ch08-drv8833/ at commit 2216ccd (2026-08-26), renamed to ch09-drv8833-4motor. and then grown into a four-motor board.
That relationship is the whole chapter, so it is worth being blunt about it. Chapter 8 builds a genuine single-chip, two-motor board and finishes it. Chapter 9 opens a copy of that finished project, captures the driver stage as a design block, and places a second instance. The Chapter 8 board does not secretly carry two stages.…
